A. We offer a number of individualized skills and socialization activities for students with different ability levels. Click here to see the programs we offer.

A. The first step is to submit an application and pay the non refundable application fee of $35.00. Most fees are based on the student’s level of need for ISS as set by contract between ACE and your student’s HCS or TXHL agency. All other fees for programs listed below are paid privately and are due before services are provided. Visit our enrollment page.

A: We offer full-service Individualized Skills and Socialization (formerly known as day habilitation), which includes learning new life skills, acquiring independence, meal prep and service, learning effective communication, field trips, art exploration and more. Additional costs may be incurred for some community inclusion outings but will be optional and paid before services are provided.

A. Yes. At this time, we do not have the resources to accommodate incoming students with dual diagnoses with mental disorders or LON (Level of Need) 9. All other behaviors will be evaluated and have a 90 day probationary period to determine if we can serve them safely and effectively. Due to smaller ratio guidelines, there may be a wait-list for levels we can serve at any given time.

A: We operate under the new Individualized Skills and Socialization guidelines.

A. Yes, only if prior arrangements have been made with the center.

A: Achievement Center of Texas contracts with various agencies, paid by the state. We do not contract with the State directly. If there is no agency placing a student with us, the parent or guardian pays the tuition.

A: Absolutely! We would love it if you became a volunteer with us to help out with community outings, life skills training needs and setting up for events. Please fill out our Volunteer Application.

A: Unfortunately, at this time we are not taking drop ins due to space limitations. Limited part time spaces are available upon request but only when pre-arranged and space shared with another student. Example: Student A M/W/F and Student B T/TH

A: Due to may differing dietary restrictions, Achievement Center of Texas does not provide lunch to students. Students will need to bring a lunch each day. Lunches that need to be kept cold can be in a paper or plastic sack only. Lunchboxes cannot be kept in the refrigerator. Due to community outings, some days your student may be asked to bring a cold lunch for a picnic or no lunch due to eating out. This information will be available and shared beforehand.

A: Achievement Center of Texas does provide an afternoon snack each day but you may send a morning time snack with your student if necessary.

A: Our staff is background checked, certified in first aid and CPR, Abuse and Neglect awareness and Confidentiality practices.
